So what is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words “Debt Elimination” or “Credit Card Elimination”? If you are anything like me, you would think of scam. In most cases, you might be right. This is what I wanted to find out when I checked out The Shielded Circle. The first thing I did was look online. The only thing that I could locate were two negative comments. The first was a post from over 6 years ago that was based on the previous owners business (it was placed by a competitor no less). The second was a person that never tried the product. They simply read over what it was supposed to do and did not think that something like that could be done. Not much written on the Shielded Circle if you consider they work with hundreds of people annually. There surely had to be more to t how to dispute credit report his than meets the eye.I took the time to actually call the corporate offices near Tampa, Florida and spoke with the owner and ceo of the company, Mr. Dennis Daniels. Mr. Daniels was very open about their process and took the time to explain it to me in detail. I was highly impressed with their system. Without getting too detailed, they basically use a lien on their clients to make them “noncollectable” to their creditors. They then answer all calls and mailings that the creditors send them so that the client does not need to be hassled by the creditors. Here is where it gets interesting…Mr. Daniels explained that they used this “shield” of not being able to collect the debt as a way of gaining leverage over the creditor. They then contact the creditor and negotiate a “Very Low” balance payoff.
